By using Mingle you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app. You must be 18 or older.

1. Eligibility (18+)

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.
You must not be barred from using the service under US law.
You may not use Mingle if you were previously removed for violating these Terms.
We verify age at signup via date of birth and may re-verify (e.g., age-estimation) at any time.

2. Your account

Provide accurate info (first name, real age, your city) — no impersonation, catfishing, or AI-deceptive profiles.
One account per person; you're responsible for activity on your account.
Must be 18+ to purchase anything (future paid features).
You can delete your account and all data anytime from your profile (right to delete).

3. Acceptable use — you agree NOT to

Post nudity, sexual content, prostitution, or escort/sex-work solicitations (zero tolerance — FOSTA-SESTA compliant).
Harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, or promote hate against any group.
Scam, phishing, ask for money, run pyramid/crypto schemes, or commit fraud.
Sell, buy, or trade human beings or any trafficking-related activity — prohibited, reported to authorities.
Share content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or infringes others' rights (IP, privacy, publicity).
Use bots, scraping, spam, or advertise without written permission.
Access data of other users or attempt to breach security.
Underage users, false reports, or misleading content (deepfakes/AI without disclosure).

4. Content you create

You own the content you post. By posting, you grant Mingle a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the service (e.g., showing your profile to others, safety moderation). You can delete content anytime; backups may persist briefly.

5. Safety & moderation

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms, with or without notice.
We may retain report/block records to keep bad actors out.
You may receive safety emails about your account (transactional, not marketing).
Interactions with other users are at your own risk. We don't background-check users. Meet in public, tell a friend, trust your instincts.
Report violations via 🚨; we aim to review within 24 hours.

6. Third-party links, ads & affiliates

The app contains ads and links to third parties (events, food, activities). We're not responsible for their content, policies, or what happens off-app.
Some links are affiliate links — we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you (disclosed on-screen).
Any purchases with third parties are solely between you and them.

7. Fees (future)

The core app is free today. If we add paid features later, pricing, renewals, and cancellation will be shown clearly before purchase; recurring charges will follow applicable auto-renewal laws (you can cancel anytime). Future fees won't change Terms already in effect for prior purchases.

8. Intellectual property

Mingle's name, logo, design, code, and trademarks belong to us. You may not copy or misuse them. If you believe content infringes your copyright (DMCA), email legal@mingleapp.example with: (1) your contact info, (2) the infringing material location, (3) a good-faith statement, (4) a statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized. We act on valid notices promptly.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE MATCHES, THAT PROFILES ARE ACCURATE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mingle and its owners/employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim won't exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states don't allow certain limitations; in those states our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mingle from claims arising from your content, your misuse of the app, or your violation of these Terms or law.

12. Termination

You can stop using Mingle and delete your account anytime. We may suspend/terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk/legal exposure. Sections that by nature should survive (liability, indemnity, disputes) will survive termination.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules (choose your real entity's state).
Informal resolution first: email us and we'll try to resolve within 30 days.
Arbitration/class waiver: disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration (small-claims option preserved) and you waive the right to participate in class or representative actions, where permitted by law.
Consumers in your home state keep any non-waivable rights (e.g., California consumers may pursue claims in their home county).

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update them; the date at top shows the latest version. Continued use after changes = acceptance. Material changes will be announced in-app.
